Post-construction cleaning in Lawrenceville that stays clean after we leave
The mistake after a renovation is wiping everything once. Drywall dust is lighter than air currents in the house, so it lands again an hour later. Lawrenceville House Cleaning does it in stages, top to bottom and with the air system in mind, so the dust you see gone is actually gone.
Why one visit is rarely enough
When: after demolition and framing, before paint and flooring.
- Vacuum sawdust and debris from floors, sills and ledges
- Clear dust from vents and registers
- Wipe tops of cabinets, doors and trim
This pass clears the bulk so painters and floor installers are not working in a dust cloud.
When: after all trades finish.
- Top-to-bottom wipe of every surface, inside and outside cabinets
- Window glass, tracks and frames cleaned, stickers removed
- Bathrooms and kitchen sanitized, fixtures polished
- Floors vacuumed and mopped last
When: a few days after move-in, once dust has settled.
- Re-wipe horizontal surfaces where fine dust has landed
- Spot clean fixtures and glass touched during move-in
Optional, but worth booking after a whole-house project.

Post-construction questions
Why does construction dust come back after I clean?
Drywall dust is extremely fine and settles into air returns, ductwork and the tops of cabinets. If those are not cleaned, the HVAC system keeps blowing it back into the room. That is why we clean in stages and ask you to swap the filter.
Should the contractor clean up first?
Yes. A contractor should remove debris, scrap and materials. We clean after that. Tell us in your quote request whether trash and leftover materials are gone.
Do you remove paint and stickers from windows?
We remove light paint specks, stickers and adhesive residue from glass and hard surfaces without scratching. Heavy dried paint or caulk is a trade job, and we will say so in the quote.
How long does post-construction cleaning take?
A bathroom or kitchen remodel is usually a day. A whole-house renovation or new build can take two or three days across stages. We give you a time estimate after seeing the scope.
Can you work around other trades still on site?
Final cleans work best when painters, flooring and electricians are done. If trades are still working, we do a rough clean first and come back for the final pass.
Pricing depends on square footage, stage and how much dust there is. Request a quote and mention photos if you have them.
